The mission of MCO is to use culturally relevant methods that help people, churches and ministries link together for outreach. Two of the best methods are Community Connecting and Service Evangelism.

There is a real need to help churches be relevant to the culture that they are trying to reach.  Today, more and more people are turning away from the gospel of Jesus Christ - needlessly.  Reaching people today with the gospel means using approaches that focus on RELATIONSHIP + TIME + TRUTH.  Without the balance of all three, outreach can falter and even fail.  Community Connecting and Service Evangelism are two effective ways that use RELATIONSHIP + TIME + TRUTH to reach people.

Service evangelism is doing group acts of generosity in a community to demonstrate the love of Christ to people. The desire is to help them become more open to finding out about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (John 13:35).
Principles of Service Evangelism

1st – We need to rethink evangelism by being more service oriented.

2nd - Service evangelism wins the heart before it “carefronts” the mind.

3rd - Provides a relevant way to share the gospel with others (James 2:26).

4th - Evangelism is a process and service evangelism is an effective initiator for the process to begin (John 4:36-38; I Cor 3:5-9).

5th – Service evangelism redefines church to the community (Acts 2:46-47).
