# Our Vision

Metro Community Outreach is an interdependent network of people and local churches serving together to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ in the Washington, D.C. area. The vision of Metro Community Outreach (MCO) is linking like-minded churches, people and ministries together in relationship for grass roots outreach.

The question that drives Metro Community Outreach is could we do better together what we have been doing separately? Could we do better together what we have been doing separately when it comes to reaching the spiritually curious? Could we do better together what we have been doing separately with building bridges to the community where we can show people God's love in action?


 
# Our Values

1. We seek to be in community with local churches and ministries as a resource and link for outreach and connection.

2. We link people together for outreach from diverse backgrounds, ministries, denominations and church affiliations.

3. We use methods for outreach that connect with people who are spiritually seeking without compromising the gospel of Jesus Christ.

4. We want to facilitate ongoing relationships between the church and the people living in the community.

5. We are a resource for churches and ministries who may want help in doing relevant outreach.

6. We value healthy relationships with each other above any task of the ministry.

 
# Our Future

Over the years, MCO has been involved in bringing dozens of churches and ministries together in relationship for a variety of community outreaches. Along with sponsoring festivals and large venue events, in the near future, MCO will also seek to be involved in more grass roots service projects and community connecting ideas in the Washington, D.C. area.

MCO will continue to act as a catalyst among churches to encourage and help them be more GO-TO focused as opposed to COME-TO focused. This means helping churches discover ways to go into their city, town or community to reach the people who live and work there
