Be a Catalyst
Take things beyond serving to more of a leadership role. Become a catalyst for outreach in your own church or ministry. This means that you become the main proponent of evangelism and outreach. You become a key banner carrier for reaching people in your community.
Start by sharing personal stories with others about your own outreach experiences. Stories are contagious and often connect with people. Often, churches that are more inward focused have very few people with current stories of outreach happening. So, become a catalyst to get others in your church involved in participating in outreach. One of the goals of MCO has been to create outreach venues that have everything ready to go. The only thing that is needed is people from the local churches to plug in and serve.
Being a catalyst for outreach to happen more in your church is rewarding. You will experience God working through you to stir others to do what God has been nudging them to do: love people!

Serve on a MCO Team
As a catalyst in your church for outreach or if you simply have a heart and passion
to reach others, realize that it can become lonely! You may not experience others
in your church or ministry who actually share your passion. Or, you may realize
that it will take time to help others gain more of a heart for outreach.
But, you can join a team of other people who share your heart and passion by
being on an MCO Team. An MCO Team is made up of people who have
demonstrated that they have a heart to reach out to people without Christ. An
MCO Team will prayerfully find a community that they want to reach out to.
Then, the team will begin to meet for just prayer and connecting. As people on
the team begin to gel with each other, planning and preparation will take place to
help them get ready to being outreaching in their own community area.
Most MCO Teams have been made up of people who are the catalysts or key
spokes people for outreach in their churches. MCO Teams have been highly
effective at doing evangelism because everyone is highly motivated and many
are even gifted in evangelism.
